Check/Change Settings

You get to the settings screen in Outlook XP (2002) by going to the "Tools" menu and then selecting "E-mail Accounts". Then just follow the screens below.

After opening email accounts you will see a selection screen like below. Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and click "Next".

 

Select the account you wish to check or modify and then click on the "Change..." button.

Your Name: Your regular name

E-mail Address: The email address you set up, eg. email@yourdomain.com

Incoming mail servers: mail.yourdomain.com

Outgoing Mail Server: You may use your existing smtp outgoing server provided by your ISP, or if you prefer, depending on the plan you've susbcribed to, configure it to either:

1) mail.yourdomain.com OR
2) smtp.yourdomain.com

Username: This is the same as your email address. If your email address is "email@yourdomain.com", then your username is also: "email@yourdomain.com".

Password: This is the password you have created for yourself in the SiteManager when you first set up your email account.

The username and password are both case sensitive so make sure it is entered all lowercase.

Click "Next".

You will then go back to the account screen and you can then just click on "Finish" to exit and save your settings.
